Bonjour!

I arrived in Paris this morning. Thank the good Lord there was a native French dude on the bus next to me. He helped me get to where I needed to be. I was extremely overwhelmed. I didn't sleep well on the bus and I was really groggy. We went into a near hotel and got coffee and croissants. It woke me up and I was able to take the Metro to Anvers to meet my new host.
In the meantime I was taught the rules of French and how to pronounce some of the words. I've been running around saying everything out loud. I feel like a 5 year old that just learned how to read.

So I met up with Alix, she's such a nice girl and we headed out and she showed me around the Montmarte area. It's one giant hill and I've felt like I've gotten 10 weeks worth of workouts in today. So then we decided to walk down to the river. Little did I know, it was a 2 hour walk. We rested in a little park in the shade and listened to a guy play the steel drum. I fell asleep for a
bit. It was relaxing. But, then we continued our journey to the Eiffel Tower. It's been my dream since a kid to see it and I finally did. It's nothing like I thought it would be. The architecture was absolutely fantastic and I thought it stretched over the river... it doesn't.

I did get to walk by the Louvre. I'm so excited to go there even if everyone says it's overrated. I don't care. There's 4 specific pieces that I want to see. And since I'm studying art, I get in free!

My allergies are bothering me so I'm all stuffy. This is all for today.

Louvre
Can't wait to go when it's night
